Business Operations Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Business Operations Manager position is a full-time role focused on managing our portfolio of client service offerings and overseeing the service product lifecycle from strategy through execution. This individual will play a key role in driving the company’s transformation by managing the entire service lifecycle, from strategic planning and development to execution and delivery. Success in this position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including delivery (professional services), sales, marketing, finance/accounting, client success, and operations, to build and enhance tools and solutions that support both internal operations and external client initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a broad understanding of key business functions, a deep understanding of professional business-to-business services, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable plans for service deployment teams.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the end-to-end service lifecycle for cybersecurity and compliance service solutions, including strategy, planning, development, and continuous improvement.
- Develop a deep understanding of the cybersecurity audit process and the full suite of services and capabilities used across the enterprise.
- Maintain an up-to-date directory of key contacts, subject matter experts (SMEs), and operational leaders who support these processes and solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define the product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategies that align with business goals and client needs; drive and track initiatives to completion.
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify opportunities, gaps, and emerging trends in cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.
- Gather and prioritize requirements from clients, internal teams, and regulatory bodies to shape service offerings.
- Translate complex compliance and security requirements into user-centric service solutions and detailed specifications, including business models, tools, methodologies, and enablers.
- Develop and implement service offerings and communication plans, ensuring alignment across cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to support successful market introduction and adoption.
- Organize diverse cross-functional teams and manage complex deployments to ensure timely delivery and effective implementation.
- Build service marketing materials and sales collateral to support the go-to-market success of both existing and new offerings.
- Lead new product launches by supporting the development of sales communications and pricing strategies.
- Ensure product releases meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage SKUs, service business attributes, and definitions.
- Monitor key product performance indicators and client feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and standardize offering development methodologies, playbooks, and documentation templates for future launches.
- Stay current with industry standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and evolving cybersecurity threats.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent project management, management consulting, and business analysis skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in general business operations and/or product or service management (strong preference for services industry experience).
- Strong understanding of information security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to define service/product requirements and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in product pricing and financial performance management.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions.
